You could have mercury poisioning!

In the tale of Huckleberry Finn there is a scene were are main character Huck eats bread that had quicksilver stuffed  inside of it, which quicksilver is also know as mercury and can in large doses can cause mercury poison. Mercury poison can cause memory loss, muscle weakness, mental disturbances, mood swings, and skin rashes. Sounds bad but the worst is that not only does Huck have a chance of getting mercury poison so do all of us in fact we already have a type of mercury in are systems. Other ways we get exposed to mercury is Fish and shellfish even when the fish and shellfish is cooked you can still get were small amounts of mercury. Also water, some dental fillings, and even the air mainly in urban areas has 10 to 20 nanograms of mercury in it. But mercury and mercury poisoning harms infants the most and the amount need to get mercury poison I believe varies from person to person. Mercury poison mainly harms the hands and feet the infected, while at first the rash are tame can progress to were skin needs to be removed. So us and Huck need to think before we  eat, drink, step, and inhale.

  1. I never really got the part where they put mercury in the breads and then put it in the water. If you were around the spot where it was put you could get poisoning.
