The begining of Huck Finn

The setting in this book seemed depressing and sorrowful in the beginning but is seeming to lighten up . A young boy named Huck Fin was taken away from his alcoholic father and adopted. Fin is seen as a very independent person and thinks on his own. Huck also has very low grammar skills and not much of an imagination. He has proved his lack of imagination in the event that tom and him had at a picnic when tom could imagine and picture things in his mind and Huck was having a hard time trying to imagine anything. Tom his friend is a rowdy type of person that seems to be a trouble maker to Huck they seem to be very happy ordinary children living in a southern state along the Mississippi river.
