Huck's Habit and the Widow's Hypocrysy

From reading about Huck and the Widow not letting him smoke, I found this scenario somewhat comical because Huck is a child and feels “the need to smoke”. The Widow says it’s a bad thing to do when she basically does the same thing. Not that I don’t agree with her that he shouldn’t smoke because personally I believe it is wrong of him to smoke at such a young age. I would just be annoyed by her hypocrisy. I also like the way Huck doesn’t pay too much attention to it he just talks about the fact that she does it too and moves on with his evening not taking it into much consideration.

  1. This part of the story is, in fact, comical as well as how true it is in real life too. I find it very humorous how many adolescents these days "need to smoke". And also, how many parents are actually hypocrites when it comes to these circumstances.
