I think it's kind of ironic that the people searching for Huck have a theory about what might of happened. When Huck dressed as a girl and went to town and saw that lady, she said that maybe Pap killed Huck and made it look like robbers came and killed him. I thinks it's ironic because that's kind of what happened, except Pap didn't kill him. Huck thought it was a brilliant idea at first, I wonder what he was thinking when he heard her say that. You think he thinks he's caught now, or it won't be long until he does get caught? Also, why couldn't he have just dressed up as some other kid? Why a girl?

Does he think he's caught?
I think it's kind of ironic that the people searching for Huck have a theory about what might of happened. When Huck dressed as a girl and went to town and saw that lady, she said that maybe Pap killed Huck and made it look like robbers came and killed him. I was wondering the same thing. Why a girl? I know he wasn't exactly planning on stopping at the woman's house, but since he knew that she was new to town and wouldn't know who he was, I don't get why he had to keep up the act. She wasn't going to recognize him.
