Bad Act Good Lies
When Huck leaves the island to go see what he can find out he is dressed like a girl and he goes to the lady's house. I found it interesting that a character like Huck would dress like a girl and take the risk of going to town to find things out about himself. It is a clever idea but he risked a lot for the little information he found out from the woman. The woman obviously catches on that hes not a girl because of the way he acted and gave him tips on how he should act in the future as a "girl". He is also a great liar when the woman catches on to him and he makes up a good fake story about why he left home. All in all in my opinion Huck is a bad actor as a girl but hes the best liar you would ever meet.

I agree Huck is a really great liar and has shown it throughout the book.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that Huck is an impeccable liar on the spot, but I disagree that he found little information from his rather risky trip. He found out that the men were going out to the island that night in search of Jim which would, in turn, result in them being caught.
ReplyDeleteHuck truly is a wonderful liar. He did risk a lot just to learn the information he did. But he did learn that someone was going to try to look for Jim on the island. So that was a important piece of information he learned.
